Fahrenheit 451 Paragraph 2 In a world where books are considered dangerous and illegal, where fireman start fires instead of putting them out, there is a man named Guy Montag. Montag meets Clarisse, an eccentric 17-year-old girl. She gets him to question every thing he knows. Then she is run over by a car. Montag is about to burn an old woman's house when he accidentally reads a line of a book. He then hides the book in his pocket. After that he becomes physical ill from the stress of doing something illegally. Captain Beatty, his boss, comes and visits Montag. He tells him that all fireman steal a book once in their career, and if they get rid of the book before twenty four hours they will not get charged. Montag reads a peom to his wife, and she turns him in. He goes to the fire station and Beatty makes him burn his own house. Then he kills Beatty so he can escape. After being chased he gets to the river, swims across and finds a refugee camp. Then the war starts and ends in a minute and his town is nuked.
